One of those cooking days again- i decided to try Jamie Oliver's Carrot Recipe!
All you need is:
500g of carrots
1 orange
A few Garlic Cloves
A handful of Herbs (rosemary, thyme, bay)
A knob of butter
A spoonful of sugar
Sprinkle of Salt
Just toss the garlic cloves in whole with the skin, along with some of your favourite fresh herbs.
A knob of butter and an orange goes a long way!
Boil them till the carrots are soft!
Add in the sugar and salt too.
To make a really yummy, jammified marmalade for this dish, chop up one of the orange slices and pan fry with a tablespoon of sugar. I added the zest of 1 orange for mine.
You can spoon this mixture over your carrots or fry them all together!
